Fabric and Support

Made of 92% cotton, 8% spandex the cup moulds to your breast and supports its changing shape all day long. The fabric allows for ample stretch, thereby reducing the risk of mastitis and provides a high degree of comfort. The sports back is excellent for upper-middle back support and acts to relieve stress on the shoulder straps. A wide under elastic offers extra support below the breast.

Easy to open and close

After three or four practice runs, you will be able to undo and refasten the snaps with one hand (and still hold the baby with the other .... )

How the sizing works

The Bravado nursing 1 maternity bra has four chest sizes (S - M - L - XL) and three cup ranges (basic, plus + and double-plus ++). The size refers to your rib width, as with a conventional bra sizing chart, whereas the style refers to cup size. For example, all the small bras have the same rib measurement whether they are S, S+ or S++ only the cup size differs. Likewise for the M, L, and XL sizes. The style of the bra is dependent on the cup size. (Please see the size chart for your bra size)

Choosing your bra while pregnant

The cotton/spandex fabric of the Bravado Bra is very accommodating to the changing size and shape of a pregnant woman's breasts. Generally, during pregnancy, your breasts will increase at least one full conventional bra size (i.e. from a prenatal 34B to 36C). When the milk comes in after the birth, most women can expect one cup size increase (i.e. from a prenatal C-cup to a postnatal D-cup) Often, after 10-12 weeks' nursing, women will return to their prenatal bra size. Allow room for breastpads and be generous with sizing.
